Today was a very emotional day for some people in my class except for me because I didn’t know what was going on until the end of the day. The reason why it was an emotional day was because of something called “the code of silence”. The code of silence is when something happens or something keeps happening and most people know about it but nobody tells an adult/teacher so it gets worse and worse it could go on forever! Until someone tells a adult. Now this happened in my class, someone was bullying almost everyone in the class for almost 1 year! But a couple days ago someone told the teacher. So then well the 2 girls that told the principal and teacher were working it out and saying how this boy has been bullying them mostly, our class talked about the code of silence and bullying. One of the activities we did was:with a group we talked about what we would do if we had to deal with a bully. One of the solutions we came up with was to tell an adult right away,its their job to help us deal with the bully and not make it worse and not to keep the code of silence right away without hesitation. So remember not to ever be in a situation with the code of silence! And if you are tell you teacher right away! I can guarantee you that your teacher will help!
