“One wish, just one. What would you do with that one wish? Well maybe you can tell me later but right now since you’re reading my journal I guess it makes sense that I tell you what I would do with that one wish” (more wishes not an option). “So how about you start reading and I’ll start talking!” If I could make one wish it would probably take me a LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG time to decide what I want to wish about. But it would be hard because I do believe that I have everything I could possibly ask for, a roof over my head, food at the table and most importantly family and friends. Friends are really there for you and same with family. My family would do anything for me and I would do anything for them. My mom wears glasses and has blond hair, she is there for me and admires all the work I do and she is like a super cleaner. My dad wears glasses and has brown hair, he acts like his bottom is glued to “his chair” but he supports me in soccer and takes me to soccer practices and games. My little sister is a devil but….. well I have nothing else to say about her other then she is a devil!!!!!!!! Friends are there when your alone and their always wanting to make you smile. I love my friends like family! My 2 closest friends are Nancy Drew and Betty Cooper. Betty has been one of my closest friends since grade 1, she is funny and a joy to be with, when your with her she can’t help but smileJ. Betty is always there for me and supports every move I make. I help her and she helps me that’s just how me role! Just because she is in the Archie comics doesn’t mean that she is all diva! Now on the other side of me is a girl that lightens my world up just like Betty and that girl is Nancy Drew. Now don’t ever underestimate this girl! She is Nothing like the girl in the mysrery book AT ALL.Nancy is like a bunny with no legs trying to hop, she never giver up! She is like a loving bucket of sunshine ready to get dumped on someone and when she does dump on someone she refills and does it again and again and again. One of the people that she has chose do repeat dumping on proudly is me! I am super lucky to have everything I need because I do understand that most people unfortunately don’t have what I have and definitely don’t have the kind of friends I have! So that’s why I have decided that if I get offered a wish I will say no thank you I have what I need in life so go give this wish to the people with the signs out on the street.
Okay, okay, okay I know what your thinking and that is what do you mean by SPLAT? Well this is what “Slatted my day up!” Today I went to a b-day party at a place called 4cats art studio. There we each got our own canvas’s then basically rolled our paint brushes and flicked the paint onto the canvas, the first few times I missed my canvas but then I got on target! After that the birthday girl got a big canvas and we laid it on the floor then all of us flicked the paint, squirted it with the liquid medicine squirted, then last but not least we filled balloons with half air half paint then popped it over the giant canvas. Next after we all watched our hands we did spin art. This is how we did it…. STEP 1: Put the paper in the machine then turns the machine onto full blast and drop little squirt of paint and the n at the end it looks magnificent! STEP 2: well really there is no step 2. Well that’s how my day got squirted!
Do you know what the code of silence is? If you don’t then keep reading but if you do know what the code of silence is then keep reading and you will find out the code of silence in my class! Today was a very emotional day for some people in my class except for me because I didn’t know what was going on until the end of the day. The reason why it was an emotional day was because of something called “the code of silence”. The code of silence is when something happens or something keeps happening and most people know about it but nobody tells an adult/teacher so it gets worse and worse it could go on forever! Until someone tells a adult. Now this happened in my class, someone was bullying almost everyone in the class for almost 1 year! But a couple days ago someone told the teacher. So then well the 2 girls that told the principal and teacher were working it out and saying how this boy has been bullying them mostly, our class talked about the code of silence and bullying. One of the activities we did was:with a group we talked about what we would do if we had to deal with a bully. One of the solutions we came up with was to tell an adult right away,its their job to help us deal with the bully and not make it worse and not to keep the code of silence right away without hesitation. So remember not to ever be in a situation with the code of silence! And if you are tell you teacher right away! I can guarantee you that your teacher will help!
"Hey you rock you want to read another one of my amazing journals you make me happy!" Today was an amazing day! I made a kite! Here is how I did it! At the very beginning I took a piece of paper and drew a rough copy of what I wanted my kite to look like, after you know that on the piece of paper is exactly what you want your kite to look like you take a kite and draw very lightly and try not to make any mistakes because when you erase the parts of the eraser get stuck on the kite and wont come off (I learned that the hard way). Then go over the pencil in marker, next color all the stuff that is meant to be colored, for eg I drew a butterfly and peace signs and then I colored them in with my marker. The only thing you can’t color is the edges of the kite and that’s because there will be tape there. When your done coloring your teacher will told us when it was time to go to the gym( the reason why we went to the gym was because there were these two people that are good at making kites and they taught us how to build them) when I entered the gym there were little packages of 2 sticks 5 pieces of tape and a handle with string on it. You have to grab one packet for yourself then they show you in step by step and try to copy then walla. The last step was to of course go outside and fly them. When I got outside and started to fly my kite in the windy weather (perfect weather) I forgot how much fun flying kites were! Man that was fun! I hope you have as much fun and me and my friends do flying kites! We did this because well I really don’t know why but i'm glad we did it was fun! Now your turn to make a kite good luck!
I am going to talk about my trip on 09/25/ 2012 to the Grouse Grind.
On September 25 guess what i did? Ok Fine I will give you a hint, it says it in red up above. Yes it is the Grouse Grind (I don't know if you guessed the Grouse Grind because I am not a freaky mind reader person but you are probably smart) This is how my day went! It all started with me getting up at 7:00am, I was EXTREMELY excited, but I was nervous too and that’s because I have asthma and a cold so I was scared I would have a breathing problem. So when my mom dropped me off at school I ran to my classroom and when I went into my classroom I looked on the board and I was pleased to find out I was driving with 2 of my friends. We were the first group to leave the school. It took 1 hour to get there so it was quite an adventure! When we arrived at the Mountain I ran with my friends to the entrance, we stretched for about 10 minutes then up we went! On the way up, I tried to take as much water breaks as I could. When I reached the 1/4 mark I was so excited! When I reached the half way mark it was a whole different story! But when I reached the 3/4 I started hiking faster, but when I heard the voices of people cheering me on it made me so happy :)! When I finally reached the top and when I got told my time was 1 hour 43 minutes I was so proud of myself because my goal was 2 hours at the most.
